Tom facing towards the Indian Ocean on the dune of Witsand, Robberg Peninsula. These sands are blown up from the ocean side and down into Plettenberg Bay on the shetlered side. This keeps the Bay shallow, as well as nourishing the Peninsula. At right of picture is a danger sign, because the drifting sands have obscured a cliff face for people to fall off.
