Dunkeld Cathedral on the north bank of the river Tay, Scotland. The first relgious building was built here in 848 by Celtic missionaries. This building was built from 1260 to 1501 and was ruined in 1560 during the Reformation, after the Privy Council issued instructions to destroy images of idolatry and this was interpreted as an excuse to destroy buildings such as this completely. The Choir section of the cathedral has been rebuilt and is now a small local church, with the rest in ruin. Posted by Hello
