Me drinking from the Quaich, a traditional Scottish two-handled cup filled with whisky and shared in welcome and parting. This quaich was carved for us by Jack Anderson a wood furniture maker and a friend of April's. By a carefully controlled process of trial and error we found that a good highland single malt called Ardnave worked best with the smell of the newly carved wood. (Note the game of Squatter in the background, an important feature of our visit to Pityoulish also courtesy of Jack).
